Our foundation
As the brothers who came before us, Alumni are the foundation of our chapter. Many of our service events, philanthropies, socials, and brotherhood trips wouldn’t be possible, and not nearly as fun, without our Alumni. To those who came before us, thank you for remembering where you came from, we appreciate your love and wouldn’t be the chapter we are today without you.
Alumni spotlight: Alek Squires (Epsilon)
What have you been up to since graduation?
After leaving Cal Poly, I took a job in San Diego with a company called Viasat. At Viasat, I'm working as a Program Manager in their Business Aviation group. My responsibilities are to manage the budget, schedule, and resources required to install, verify, and certify in-flight WiFi equipment on private aircraft, for personal or corporate use. We are enabling c-suite executives and high net-worth individuals the ability to have an office-in-the-sky. I work closely with the program management and engineering teams for both Viasat and whomever we are partnering with to install our WiFi system.
What are a couple favorite memories from ZBT?
I love Senior Night because the stories / roast of each of the seniors is hilarious and powerful. It's amazing to hear someone recount a night or two over the last 4-5 years and have everyone chime in with their memories and variations of the stories.
Any big things happening in your life?
As of right now, no. I am happily situated in San Diego and focusing on the early years of my career. My goal is to travel internationally at least once a year, and thankfully my current situation supports that. I am always looking for recommendations, so send some my way!
Alumni Trips
Active/Alumni trips are some of the best brotherhood memories that we make in college. Its a testament to the bond that is created during our time in the chapter and proof that brotherhood truly is for a lifetime.
